Remembering Papou Vincent Sanitate

December 23, 1940-November 17, 2025

Celentano Furniture’s owners experienced a great loss in the family in 2025. Michael’s maternal grandfather, Vincent C. Sanitate, 84, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025.

He was born in Greece to the late Andrea and Domenica Sanitate.

In the 1970s, Vincent established his company, Liberty Furniture Services, originally located near NYC. Vincent and family moved to Palm Coast, FL in 2007 where he built a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to those he cherished. After his son-in-law passed in 2008, he stepped into a fatherly role for his first three grandsons.

Papou (Greek for “grandfather”) introduced these grandsons to the furniture services industry. He mentored Michael from childhood through high school graduation. Michael decided to follow in Papou’s footsteps professionally in 2011.

Vincent is survived by his daughters: Alessandra, Domenique (sp. Neil), Dimitra, and Marie (sp. Chris). He was a cherished grandfather to Michael (sp. Emily), Maxwell (child: Juliano), Marcus, Rebecca, Liberty, Karenmarie, Joseph, Sarah, and Vincent. He leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Despina Sanitate.
